DIY Network - Sweat Equity Episode
Calstar Products' new line of fly-ash pavers were released into the market in 2010 and are currently available in smooth & tumbled Holland. The owner of this home selected the Olive Blend tumbled with the Natural tumbled for the border. Calstar Pavers use 40% recycled material which are kept from landfills and slurry storages. The energy saved in the manufacturing of this patio alone is the equivalent of 80 gallons of oil (12,000,000 BTU's) and prevented one ton of CO2 emmissions. Additionally, it prevented nearly two tons of material from going into landfills.
The homeowner worked with the DIY Network on their show "Sweat Equity" where an industry professional is brought in to work with a homeowner to show them how to work on do-it-yourself projects. This episode will air sometime between January and July of 2011. Check back for updates!
